CBT and EMDR – and How Can They Help?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-focused approach that helps you understand the links between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. If you’re experiencing anxiety, low mood, overthinking, or stress, CBT provides practical tools to help you regain control, change unhelpful patterns, and move forward with clarity and confidence. It’s rooted in your personal values, helping you navigate challenges while building hope, belief, and a sense of empowerment.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help the brain process distressing or traumatic experiences that feel “stuck.” It supports the natural healing systems of the brain so memories feel less intrusive, overwhelming, or emotionally charged. EMDR can be especially helpful for trauma, PTSD, and the lingering impact of difficult events.

Therapy with me is collaborative and active—more than just talking. We work together to understand what’s keeping you stuck and build strategies that support real, lasting change, so you can reconnect with confidence, balance, and who you are at your best.
